KEYFRAMES - E-TOPIE - Marseille Provence 2013

Ballet Keyframes on the Avenue Mozart - Aix-en-Provence (Fr)

This is a sculpture that comes to life at night, intriguing enlightened figures climbing the walls of the Pavillon Noir, playing with angles and lines, dance and jump to the Conservatory for music, dance and theater. One black one white and both strangely agitated by this wandering dance from nowhere …

On the principle of the decomposition of the movement, it’s an amazing night ballet inspired choreography by Angelin Preljocaj, which in turn takes the two buildings, miraculously played a Mozart reworked by the machines of the composer Erwan Quintin!
At first alone, attacking the Pavillon Noir, a bright dancer embarks on an acrobatic solo, suddenly he splits in two, the solo becomes a duet, and trio, to sextet!
With a jump he continued his dance Conservatory now opening himself: the new building by Kengo Kuma pitching at night, vibrates, its skin oddly distorted by the movements of his slow breathing.
Yet the sleeping lets in sound, music ... Magic? Optical illusion? Daydreaming? [...] The Groupe LAPS combines sculpture and film, visual arts and performing scripted festive in a facility that marks the "cultural golden triangle" around Aix-en-Provence, looking to the future. Keyframes is a unique experience to live at nightfall. "
